Asian Fusion

Building on the success of the previous iteration of In Azia, Epicurean have designed an emotive and dramatic restaurant that uses its internal location as an advantage to set the mood.

London based, lighting designers MBLD, who have worked on prestigious projects such as the Lanesborough and Sketch, were employed to undertake the lighting design. The room has no natural daylight and is only open for dinner service, so recessed troughs were designed into the rear of banquettes and within high level timber bulkheads to illuminate varying levels of the room to play with guests mood and visual focus.

place

Epicurean’s interior concept was centred on reflection, intimacy and experience. We designed a Sake bar, a new kitchen pass, two chef’s booths, two private rooms and a dining room which convey the feeling of Asia through subtle interventions and materials. As the menu varies cuisine, we did not want to evoke a pastiche of one particular country so instead a limited palette was utilised; deep turquoise paintwork and upholstery, black ceiling panels, oak cladding and mirrored walls with coral accents which is typical in Asian Interiors. The concept works from the very origins of the idea all the way to the OS&E which dresses the table and room providing an all encompassing experience.

food

With a passion for Asian cuisine from very early in his career, Executive Chef Marcin Sasin has created a menu of varying Asian flavours, taking guests on a journey though the countries he regularly visits; Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. Working with the best Thai chefs in the kitchen, the fantastic food has revered the restaurant as the Number 1 Asian in Warsaw. We can vouch for the delicious Tom Yum Soup!
